D2
Satellite Animation of images collated during the
past 24 hours
IF
YOU CAN'T SEE THE SHOW BELOW, FIRE UP
NETSCAPE.
Every
hour we take the latest D2 image from Meteosat,
scale it down to 384x288 and save it to a buffer
containing the most recent 24 such images. This
page uses that buffer to generate a 24 hour slide
show sequence of D2 images, your browser therefore
needs no special software to display the sequence.
However, the animation effect relies on a
reasonably high bandwidth link between your
computer and our server, apologies to those users
who can't get the full effect. Apologies also to
those with browsers (eg IE4) which are not
server-side push friendly, we recommend Netscape
browsers. Please note that the animation effect
will be improved if your browsers' image display
preference is set to "display after loading".
Simply hit the Reload button to restart the
sequence. The contents of this page is kindly
provided by the Nottingham
University,
United Kingdom.
